Mission and Values
Vinewood Community Church believes we exist by God’s grace, power, and authority to connect people in a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, engage in honest and loving relationships with one another and serve the world so people will want the life only Jesus can give.
As a church, we want to produce passionate lovers of Jesus who serve the Kingdom in vibrant, loving relationships with each other. It all comes down to being transformed by God's grace to be like Jesus. It happens one life at a time.
In order to do this we seek to help people:
Connect with God through Jesus - We want to help people develop deep relationships with God in a way that leads them to experience Him throughout the week and not just an hour on Sundays.
Grow Together - We need other people to grow spiritually and teach us how to love. We want to provide the opportunity for people to develop close friendships where people can share who they really are, love each other, and encourage one another to grow.
Serve the World - Learning to love God shapes our hearts to love and serve the world Jesus died to save. The world begins in our homes, reaches out into our community, and expands to the whole world. We want to help people use the gifts God has given them to make an impact in the world. God has designed each person with a purpose to serve Him in this world and we want to help you find that purpose.
Jesus is the Center - God’s incredible and free gift through faith in His only Son, Jesus Christ is abundant life with Him now and eternal life in Heaven. Once we accept Jesus as our personal Savior, we show our love for Jesus by following His teachings and commands in an effort to become more like Him every day.
John 3:16, John 14:6, John 14;15, John 17:3
The Bible is Our Supreme Source of Truth - The Bible is the core of our teaching and is foundational to all we believe, say, and do. We believe the Bible is God’s divine source of truth. It points us to the ultimate communication of who He is in Jesus Christ.
Loving Community - We commit to love and care for each other because of God’s great love for us. We seek God’s way together through prayer, we remain open to correction, bear with each other, and maintain the unity of the body even when the going gets tough.
John 13:34-35, Colossians 3:12-15
Sacrificial Generosity - And, we aspire to be even more sacrificially generous investors of the time, abilities, and financial resources entrusted to us because of the incredible gift and sacrifice that was made for us by Jesus on the cross.
2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Luke 6:38
